(Please disregard early deadline of February 15th on registry website). No registration will be accepted after March 1st. “Going Bananas for Jesus” is a three day event that takes place every other year in our diocese for young people to join and meet other youth from across the Grand Island Diocese. The participants will stay with other youth their age at host families in the Kearney area. Each family has received Safe Environment training and has undergone the required background check. Young people often say that staying with the families and meeting others their age is one of the highlights of the weekend. I am looking for adults who can drive, and for a few who can stay for the event. The parish will pay the “Bananas” registration and hotel fee for those parents who can stay. This has been a great, fun event for young people in our diocese for many years and I highly recommend it! As always, if the cost of registration is prohibitive for your family, contact me. No young person will be left out for this reason! If you have any questions contact me at (308) 254-2828. Thank you and Go Bananas! Joan Falcon Director of Religious Education |
